Term #1 "Tramps"

Tramps means to walk a long or difficult journey.

"Silent and watchful, David, the boy from the camp,tramps across Europe, knowing at any moment they may catch up to him."

Term #2 "Possessed"

Possessed means to take over someone's mind.

"David did not know what possessed him to say it."

Term #3 "Nevertheless"

Nevertheless is another meaning of "for all that"

"But it spelled danger, nevertheless."

Term #4 "Distinguish"

Distinguish means to observe or identify a difference in something.

"but after awhile David was able to distinguish words that were familiar to him."

Term #5 "Quayside"

Quayside means a dock or a place where ships can stop and/or unload.

"And it was made fast to the quayside with a great thick rope."
